How to Remove Empty Pixels in Photoshop for a Perfect Gang Sheet

If you're using Duck Luck Printing’s Gang Sheet Builder for DTF Transfers, you want to make sure your designs are sized correctly. One common issue is empty pixels around your design, which can throw off your layout and waste valuable space. Luckily, Adobe Photoshop makes it easy to fix this in just a few steps!

Step-by-Step Guide to Removing Empty Pixels

  1. Open Your Design in Photoshop
Start by opening your PNG file in Photoshop. If you’re using a background, make sure it’s unlocked in the Layers panel.

  2. Use the Trim Tool

    • Go to ImageTrim.

    • In the Trim window, select Transparent Pixels if your design has transparency. If it has a solid background, choose Top Left Pixel Color.

    • Make sure all four edges (Top, Bottom, Left, Right) are checked, then click OK.

  3. Double-Check for Extra Space
Zoom in to ensure no extra pixels remain. If needed, use the Eraser Tool or Crop Tool to remove anything unwanted.

  4. Save Your File
Go to FileSave As and choose PNG to maintain transparency. Your design is now optimized for the Gang Sheet Builder!

Why This Matters

Removing empty pixels ensures your design is accurately sized, prevents unnecessary scaling, and maximizes space on your DTF Gang Sheet.
